Herbalist & Massage Therapist
Kaya Pulz (she/her)
Kaya founded Folk Method Traditions with the hopes of holding space for earth stewards to come together in the form of an herbal collective. Growing up as a farmer, she noticed a deep connection to plants and began to dive into the importance of spiritual and biodynamic farming. With the blessing of family members in the holistic healing field, Kaya was able to access the power of Traditional Chinese Medicine at an early age. She then went on to study herbalism through the Herb Pharm apprenticeship program, the Earthwalk School of Herbal Traditions clinical herbalist program, and local indigenous healers from her home on the northern coast of Maine.
With the influence of holistic medicine, Kaya has now completed her Asian Bodywork Therapy certification at the Shiatsu School of Vermont. She has recently moved into a private wellness office above Grian Herbs Apothecary in Montpelier and is setting roots in the mountains of the Abenaki people. Through traditional Asian, Native American, and European practices, she is dedicated to honoring the origin and ritual of the medicinal plants used in Folk Method Traditions products and traditional bodywork techniques used in the clinic.
- Kaya’s ancestral lineage stems from Scandinavian, Eastern European, and Indigenous American roots -
